I hail from Boise, Idaho where I grew up among the potatoes. Two years ago I relocated to Chicago from San Diego, California in order to enjoy the famous six-month winter; the sunshine and the ocean are overrated.

After graduating from California State University with a degree in Communications and an emphasis in Public Relations, I decided to pursue a career in PR. But, after working for a PR firm covering celebrity events, I decided to leave the glitz for an equally glamorous field: the health insurance industry. With five years of experience in account management and implementing wellness strategies at the employer level, I currently work as a Client Strategy Specialist for CIGNA Healthcare.

My family is extremely important to me and I love to spend time with my husband, parents, four siblings and two (adorable) nephews. When I’m not traveling to Boise (or for work), I love athletics! Being active is very important to me, so you will often find me at North Avenue Beach playing volleyball or contorted in a variety of yoga poses, though not likely done simultaneously. While Chicago isn’t conducive to my favorite sports, surfing and white water rafting, I am always looking for a wave to ride.
